Last year, you may have added any of these 18 amazing costume designers to your Twitter and Instagram follow lists (if you haven't, what are you waiting for?). Well, now it's time for the second installment, or possibly Costume Designers You Need to Follow on Social Media: The Return.

The on-the-scene, in-the-trenches, storytelling costume designer can be your window into the mechanics of your favorite TV show or upcoming movie. Their 'grams and Tweets shed insight into the inspiration for the costumes that help drive the plot or establish the character, plus they get to join in on all the backstage fun, travel to the best places and hang out with all the cool people, from all the "Pretty Little Liars" to Gucci's Alessandro Michele.

Amanda Needham, 'Portlandia' and 'Baskets'

Considering that she works on one of the most absurdly clever and hilarious sketch shows on TV, Amanda Needham clearly knows how to inject spirit and personality into her Instagram uploads. The two-time Emmy winner captures on-set antics from show stars and guests, as well as super-cute family scenes. Plus, shares some tips on how to create the perfect beachy waves. Seriously, her hair is always perfect.

Ane Crabtree, 'Westworld' and 'The Handmaid's Tale'

Take a peek into the inspiration behind the fashion runway meets Spaghetti Western costumes in "Westworld" and the futuristic wardrobe in the dystopian (and terrifyingly relevant) "The Handmaid's Tale," debuting on Hulu in 2017. The former "Masters of Sex" costume designer also shares off-duty moments from stars on her shows, like Tessa Thompson (Charlotte on "Westworld") and Yvonne Strahovski (Serena on "The Handsmaid's Tale"), plus frequent appearances from her adorable pup, Georgia.

Arianne Phillips, 'Nocturnal Animals'

Arianne Phillips is an extremely busy woman taking care of very exciting business endeavors, including costume designing Tom Ford's movies — most recently "Nocturnal Animals" — and styling the one-and-only Madonna for her concert tours (and movies, too). Luckily, Phillips makes full use of Instagram to document her insanely cool job and just as enviable social outings, like hanging with Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele and Demi Moore.

Cameron Dale, 'Pretty Little Liars' and 'Famous in Love'

The fashion in "Pretty Little Liars" is essentially the sixth Liar and every episode involves an additional mystery: Who made the [insert clothing item] that [insert name of Liar] wore? Cameron Dale, who joined the show just in time for the five-years-forward jump, is more than happy to answer that crucial question — as she will for the final "PLL" season (sob) and the upcoming Bella Thorne-vehicle "Famous in Love." Plus, Dale sheds light on more hot topics, like that Elliot/Archer likes donuts; Toby is a cupcake kind of guy; Fitz really is a romantic; and what exactly is going on right here?

Cynthia Summers, 'Unreal' and 'Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce'

If you're patiently biding your time for the January premiere of "Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce" or the summer debut of season three of "Unreal," need backup from a fellow vegan, or just want to lose it over adorable rescue puppies, follow costume designer Cynthia Summers on Instagram. Plus, her runway fashion inspiration snaps might be an indicator of future elimination ceremony gowns on "Everlasting."

Ellen Mirojnick, 'First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers' and 'The Knick'

This year's recipient of the Costume Designer's Guild Award for Career Achievement is in high demand. She's Angelina Jolie's go-to costume designer and one of Shonda Rhimes's experts in establishing characters for series pilots. Mirojnick's Instagram offers a peek at her adventures in far-flung shoot locales like Cambodia for Jolie's latest movie project and Spain for "Still-Star Crossed," the Romeo and Juliet sequel, Shondaland style. (Look, she's in Madrid with John Glaser of "Gotham" because kickass costume designers travel in pairs.)

Jacqueline Demeterio, 'Younger' and 'The Intern'

As the costume designer on TV Land's "Younger," Jacqueline Demeterio, with the help of consultant Patricia Field, dresses Sutton Foster and Hilary Duff in the most top-shelf labels: Saint Laurent, Gucci, Self Portrait and Valentino. And if you ask nicely in the Instagram comments about, for instance, who made Liza's season-one white ankle boots, she might just answer you. (Plumo, purchased online.)

Jeriana San Juan, 'The Get Down' and 'Civil'

One could mistake Jeriana San Juan's Instagram musings for a street style star's or fashion blogger's. After all, the costume designer for Baz Luhrman's "The Get Down" does have her own distinctive and very copy-worthy personal style and she even has a bragging rights shot of herself at the Met Gala with rap legend Grandmaster Flash as her date. Katie Irish, 'The Americans'

If you ever wanted to find expertly curated '80s fashion inspiration all in one spot, look no further than "The Americans" costume designer Katie Irish's Instagram account. The eye-candy nostalgia will suck you in, from "Miami Vice"-inspired pastel suiting, to McCall's maternity patterns (oh, Alice), to Christy Turlington in collaged Versace, to proto-athleisure.

Lauren Bott, 'Scream Queens'

Lauren Bott's Instagram page is just as candy colored (and fur-filled) as her exuberant costumes for "Scream Queens." Check out her 'grams for credits if you're wondering what a Chanel is wearing (not Chanel), candid shots of the cast and crew and totally on-brand still life shots.

Leesa Evans, 'Why Him' and 'Zoolander 2'

Leesa Evans double times as a costume designer ("Zoolander 2," "Trainwreck," "Bridesmaids" and James Franco's upcoming "Why Him") and stylist to red carpet star Amy Schumer. So she's sharing sartorial inspiration and her latest obsessions — the '70s, if you're wondering — via Instagram. Teasers for the upcoming awards season red carpet or her next movie? Melina Root, 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend'

From the "Sexy Getting Ready Song" to season two's Beyoncé homage "Love Kernals,"all the musical fantasy numbers in "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" deserve their own behind-the-scenes explainer episodes. So thankfully we have costume designer Melina Root's Instagram for wardrobe fun facts, amazing costume moments that didn't make the final cut (but really should have), and peeks into the mind of mad genius writer/star/creator/songwriter Rachel Bloom. Michele Clapton, 'Game of Thrones' and 'The Crown'

If you aren't already, follow Emmy winner Michele Clapton ASAP because she's back on "Game of Thrones" for the final two seasons. Her feed is full of the most exquisite fashion and art inspiration, plus little costume nuggets that might send a "GoT" superfan into a frenzy. A sketch of an early Dothraki men's costume concept? Yup. How she'd dress Formula One driver (and Fashion Week regular) Lewis Hamilton in Westeros armor? Oh yes. And perhaps a hint of Khaleesi's continued cape evolution? We shall see.

Patricia Field, 'Younger,' 'Ugly Betty' and 'Sex and the City'

The legendary Patricia Field wears a lot of hats these days, including costume consultant on "Younger" and running an art-meets-fashion gallery on her e-commerce site. The costume designer, fashion designer, stylist, art gallerist and entrepreneur (did I miss anything?) documents it all via her colorful, ultra-energetic Instagram. Plus, if you wish hard enough, every once in awhile she might share an homage to "SATC."

Paul Tazewell, 'Hamilton' and 'The Wiz Live!'

You may have heard of a little musical called "Hamilton" and not just for a certain out of town guest in the audience the other day. The musical won 11 Tony Awards, including costumes by Paul Tazewell, who also won an Emmy for "The Wiz Live!" Considering that "Hamilton" is sold out for the next 217 years or so, the costume designer's social media might be the closest you'll get to an orchestra seat. Just saying.

Sarah Arthur, 'Sherlock'

New Year's Day can't arrive early enough if only for the season four premiere of "Sherlock" titled, "The Six Thatchers," which we'll get in the U.S. at the same time as the U.K. So happy holidays to us. Since the season comes in true British form — only four episodes as compared to the American supersized 18-plus — we'll have to soak up as much of the Benedict Cumberbatch-starring goodness as we can, including any costume crumbs dropped via the twice Emmy-nominated Sarah Arthur's Tweets.

Stephanie Maslansky, 'Luke Cage,' 'Jessica Jones' and 'Daredevil'

Stephanie Maslansky rules the Marvel universe on Netflix — or the costume department, at least. So her Instagram is basically a fashion-meets-superhero dream mash-up: off-duty outings with the cast, including hunky Mike Colter a.k.a. Luke Cage (above), meet-and-greets with fan-girls and boys at Comic Cons around the globe, mood board inspiration pics and costume credits, like Jessica Jones's lemon-yellow Diane von Furstenberg dress.

Terry Dresbach, 'Outlander'

Fans of "Outlander" are just as obsessed with Terry Dresbach's Emmy-nominated custom-made period costumes as they are with Jamie and Claire's relationship. Dresbach has lots to share with followers about the 18th and 20th century designs via her Outlander Costume handle and even more to say about the current U.S. political situation via her original account. (Although, the former went quiet, but will hopefully be resurrected once season three premieres sometime in 2017.) In the meantime, Dresbach is making a pretty good case for us to go and call our senators and reps right now.

Zaldy Goco, 'RuPaul's Drag Race'

The Emmy-nominated costume designer has also designed performance outfits for the likes of Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Michael Jackson. He's also a stylist and model, so he has a pretty powerful #aesthetic — all documented via his Instagram — along with cameos from the inimitableRuPaul.

Bonus:'The Flash' Costumers

"The Flash" costume designer, Kate Main, is a bit social-media shy (along with the Berlanti-verse supersuit designer Maya Mani), but the CW superhero show's costumers are more than willing to share. Costume and comic nerds alike will geek out at both the inner workings of how supersuits actually operate. For instance, yes, Wally West must practice fight scenes in his Kid Flash pants, lest this happens. (Although, Barry sometimes does stunts in jeans.) Plus, hone in on Easter Egg-y details you may have missed during all that time hopping and villain fighting in Central City.
